The Z-Man Gobius is a highly realistic, pre-rigged swimbait designed specifically to mimic the invasive round goby, a primary forage for smallmouth and largemouth bass in the Great Lakes and beyond. It is engineered as a hybrid between a swimbait and a structure jig, allowing it to “creep” and “glide” across rocky bottoms where traditional baits might get snagged.

Key Features:

• 10X Tough ElaZtech: Poured from Z-Man’s proprietary superplastic, the Gobius is incredibly soft yet durable enough to withstand dozens of aggressive strikes.
• Internal Jig Harness: Features a “bottom-hugging” weight system that keeps the bait upright and enables a natural tail-up posture at rest, perfectly imitating a feeding goby.
• Snag-Resistant Design: Includes a specialized split dorsal fin brush guard that protects the hook point from structure while compressing easily to ensure a high hookset ratio.
• Subtle Swimming Action: A small, rounded paddle tail delivers a fluid, low-frequency vibration that mimics the quick-kick-and-glide movement of a live goby.

Performance Advantages:

• Round Goby Imitation: Highly realistic invasive species match
• Hybrid Design: Swimbait and structure jig combination
• Rocky Bottom Specialist: Creeps and glides without snagging
• Tail-Up Posture: Natural feeding goby imitation at rest
• High Hookset Ratio: Brush guard compresses easily
