Built for freshwater and inshore saltwater anglers who refuse to compromise on rod performance when traveling, the Daiwa Ardito TR is a 3-piece travel spinning rod engineered with the same blank technologies found in Daiwa’s full-length rods. The V-Flex Ferrule Joint System is the key differentiator strategically placed ferrules that bend with the rod rather than creating stiff joints, delivering smooth, powerful action through the blank that is virtually indistinguishable from a one-piece rod. The X-45 Bias Construction wraps the blank fibers at a 45-degree bias to prevent twisting under load, providing greater strength, sensitivity, and hook-setting power than conventional blank construction. Breaks down and stores in an included semi-hard travel case that protects the rod during travel.

Key Features

• V-Flex Ferrule Joint System Strategically placed ferrules bend with the rod rather than creating stiff joints at the connection points; delivers smooth, powerful action through the full blank that closely mimics a one-piece rod’s performance.
• X-45 Bias Construction Blank fibers wrapped at a 45-degree bias prevent twisting under load; provides greater strength, sensitivity, and hook-setting power compared to conventional 0/90-degree blank construction.
• Semi-Hard Travel Case Included semi-hard case is sturdy yet pliable; protects all three rod sections during travel in luggage, overhead bins, or rod tubes without the bulk of a hard case.
• 3-Piece Design Breaks down into three sections for compact travel storage; fits in luggage and carry-on bags for airline travel, backpacking, and any situation where a full-length rod is impractical.
• Freshwater & Inshore Saltwater 4 models covering Medium Light through Medium Heavy power ratings for versatile freshwater and light inshore saltwater applications.

Model Selection Guide

• ARDT703MFS-TR 7′ Medium (1/43/4 oz, 615 lb): The most versatile model; covers a wide range of freshwater techniques from light spinning to moderate presentations. Best for bass, trout, and general freshwater applications on 615 lb line.
• ARDT703MHFS-TR 7′ Medium Heavy (1/41 oz, 817 lb): More backbone for heavier lures and larger fish; best for bass on heavier presentations, inshore saltwater species, and applications requiring more hook-setting power on 817 lb line.
• ARDT763MLXS-TR 7’6″ Medium Light (1/83/8 oz, 415 lb): The longest, lightest model; best for finesse freshwater applications, trout, and light spinning techniques where extra length improves casting distance and line control on 415 lb line.
• ARDT763MHFS-TR 7’6″ Medium Heavy (1/41 oz, 817 lb): Maximum length and backbone for inshore saltwater, heavier freshwater applications, and situations where extra reach and power are needed on 817 lb line.

Best For

• Airline Travel 3-piece design with semi-hard case fits in checked luggage and large carry-on bags; V-Flex ferrules ensure full rod performance after assembly without the stiff joints of conventional travel rods.
• Freshwater Bass & Trout 4 power ratings from ML to MH cover the full range of freshwater bass and trout techniques from finesse to power applications.
• Inshore Saltwater Medium Heavy models (7′ and 7’6″) handle inshore saltwater species on 817 lb line; X-45 construction provides the hook-setting power needed for saltwater applications.
• Backpacking & Remote Fishing Compact 3-piece breakdown and semi-hard case make the Ardito TR ideal for backpacking trips, remote fishing destinations, and any situation where a full-length rod is impractical.
