Saltwater flats angler know that being armed with bead-chain weighted flies in addition to lead eyes will help you be prepared for all situations that the weather and tides can throw at you. Sometimes the heavy splash of lead-eyes can spook sensitive or pressured fish, so you need to pull out the bead chain eyed flies to land more gently and get down more slowly than their lead-eye cousins. Any angler who has experienced glassy conditions or supper low tides on the flats can attest the lighter is better.
