The CastAway Rods InShore Smoker ISLC7 is a 7-foot light casting rod designed for the finesse end of inshore fishing. At ~4.1 oz the lightest rod in the InShore Smoker lineup it excels at presenting smaller artificials, soft plastic tails, and live bait with a delicate touch that heavier rods simply can’t deliver. The moderate action gives the blank a smooth, progressive load that keeps light lures on the hook and puts them where you want them.
The 24-ton carbon fiber blank is lightweight and ultra-sensitive, pairing with a blank-exposed Sensa-Touch reel seat for direct feel transmission through the cork. The premium grade split grip cork handle stays comfortable through long days on the water, and SS304 stainless steel guides with black stainless inserts and double swag rings handle both saltwater and freshwater use without issue. CastAway’s Static Zoned guide spacing ensures clean, consistent line flow on every cast.
Rated for 1/8 to 3/8 oz lures and 814 lb line, the ISLC7 is purpose-built for trout, tails, small artificials, and light bait presentations where sensitivity and touch matter more than power.
