The CastAway Rods Pro Sport CX2 CX27H is a 7-foot heavy casting rod built for power presentations where you need to drive hooks and pull fish out of cover. Texas rigs, heavy jigs, Carolina rigs, and punching applications are where the heavy power and mod-fast action work together enough tip to feel the bottom and track the bait, enough backbone to move fish when it counts.

Built on a high-modulus graphite blank reinforced with carbon nanotube polymer composite, the CX27H stays surprisingly light and sensitive for its power class. The blank-exposed Sea Guide ergonomic reel seat maintains direct blank contact for maximum feel, and the high-durometer EVA foam handle provides a secure, comfortable grip through long days of power fishing. Sea Guide 316 stainless steel guides with ceramic inserts and CastAway’s Static Zoned guide spacing run clean on heavy braid and mono alike.

Rated for 3/8 to 1 oz lures and 1220 lb line the heaviest casting model in the Pro Sport CX2 lineup.
