The CastAway Rods Pro Sport CX2 CX2SLC7 is a 7-foot light casting rod built for finesse baitcasting presentations. At just ~3.6 oz the lightest casting rod in the Pro Sport CX2 lineup it handles small lures with precision and comfort, and the moderate action gives the blank a smooth, progressive load that keeps light baits on the hook and delivers accurate casts with minimal effort.

The high-modulus graphite blank reinforced with carbon nanotube polymer composite provides exceptional sensitivity for its power class, transmitting subtle strikes directly through the blank-exposed Sea Guide ergonomic reel seat. The high-durometer EVA foam handle delivers a secure, comfortable grip in all conditions, and Sea Guide 316 stainless steel guides with high-quality ceramic inserts and CastAway’s Static Zoned guide spacing ensure clean, consistent line flow on braid and mono alike.

Rated for 1/4 to 1/2 oz lures and 814 lb line a versatile light casting platform well suited for inshore finesse work, smaller jig presentations, and anywhere a light-touch baitcasting rod has the advantage over spinning gear.
