Mustad x BlacktipH: The Ultimate Monster Shark Rig

When the world’s leading hook manufacturer meets the world’s premier shark angler, you get the BlacktipH Monster Shark Rig by Mustad. This isn’t a standard off-the-shelf leader it is a professional-grade terminal tackle system engineered to withstand the most violent battles in saltwater fishing.

The Mustad “Demon Perfect” Advantage

At the heart of this rig is the 16/0 Mustad Demon Perfect Circle Hook.

• Tournament Legal: Designed with a precise point-to-shank ratio, these non-stainless, non-offset hooks ensure high-percentage lip hooks 100% compliant with land-based shark fishing (LBSF) regulations.
• Ultra-Point Technology: Mustad’s proprietary sharpening process keeps the hook razor-sharp even after dragging through sand or bouncing off reef structure during a long fight.

Why Josh Jorgensen Chose This Spec

Standard shark rigs fail at connection points or get bitten through by larger predators. This build is over-engineered so that doesn’t happen:

• Heavy-Duty #19 Wire: The bite leader is upgraded to #19 Single Strand Wire extreme stiffness and kink-resistance for 500lb+ sharks that standard #15 wire simply cannot match.
• 700lb Rub Leader: 20 feet of premium monofilament delivers elite abrasion protection against the sandpaper skin and powerful tail-whips of Hammerheads, Tigers, and Bulls.
• Rosco Hardware: Genuine 500lb 6/0 Rosco swivels prevent line twist and hardware failure under the immense pressure of a long-distance run.
• Hand-Crimped & Haywire Twists: Every connection point is double-secured for total peace of mind when it matters most.
