The Shimano SLX BFS is a robust baitcasting reel with an FT braking system (=Finesse Tube Break System). The case consists of a Hagane body and is particularly resistant to harsh conditions. With its various gear ratios, this reel is ideally suited for light to medium-light fishing. It offers a maximum drag of 3.5 kg with a weight of 170 g. The aluminum spool with the FT braking system allows for extremely relaxed casting distances and offers sufficient line capacity for FC enthusiasts. We recommend the Seaguar R18 LTD , the test winner among FC lines from Japan, as a suitable line.
