Stroft leader rings are manufactured from a high-quality, corrosion-resistant alloy and undergo several drum-polished steps to optimize smoothness and friction. This ensures the highest possible knot strength. An electrolytic treatment then results in a greyish-black sheen with extremely low reflection. They increase the breaking strength when joining two lines by up to 100%. They facilitate quick and easy tippet changes and prevent the main line from constantly shortening. They are also ideal for dry fly leaders because they are very light and are supported by the surface tension of the water.
