UTC 140 Thread

Carefully developed to enhance tying performace

Heavy-Duty Strength for Demanding Patterns

When you’re building large streamers, bass bugs, or saltwater flies that demand serious thread strength, UTC 140 delivers. This robust 140-denier thread provides the holding power you need to secure heavy materials, build substantial heads, and create durable flies that stand up to aggressive fish and repeated casting.

Why UTC 140 Handles the Tough Jobs

• Heavy-Duty Construction:140 denier weight provides exceptional strength for lashing down lead eyes, deer hair, and other heavy materials
• Smooth Polyester:Flat, even thread lays down cleanly without twisting or bunching, even under high tension
• Versatile Applications:Perfect for large flies where standard 6/0 or 8/0 threads lack the necessary strength
• Reliable Performance:Consistent diameter and breaking strength you can count on, pattern after pattern

Perfect For

Large saltwater streamers and poppers, bass bugs with spun deer hair, pike and musky flies, heavy nymphs with lead wraps, and any pattern where you’re working with substantial materials or building robust thread heads. UTC 140 excels when standard threads simply can’t handle the pressure.

Feel the confidence of cinching down heavy lead eyes or spinning tight deer hair without worrying about thread breaks that’s the security UTC 140 brings to your vise.
