Mass of metal is pressed with high pressure and finished with micron-level accuracy without cutting. A unique technology called precision cold forging creates a stiff and tenacious gear, enabling smooth winding.

Micro Module Gear II

The Micro Module Gear II has evolved with the most advanced tooth surface design and Shimano’s unique manufacturing technology. We reviewed the design of each gear tooth surface in pursuit of the ideal tooth shape. Reduced noise and improved smooth gear feel have also been achieved.

Silent Drive

A sense of serene unity with thorough detail.

The basic design of the entire body and drive-related parts have been reviewed one by one, and minute rattling, gaps, and shaking between parts have been thoroughly eliminated down to the smallest detail. The areas to be improved are diverse, including drive gears, worm shafts, worm shaft pins, worm shaft gears, and sliding gears. We have realized smooth rotation performance in a new dimension and winding with quietness.

Small and medium-sized general-purpose reels
For small- and medium-sized general-purpose spinning, which requires lighter rotation, we have focused on a non-contact structure so as not to impair the lightness of rotation. In addition to the conventional water-repellent treatment, the labyrinth structure that suppresses water penetration is combined to achieve high waterproof performance while being non-contact. It is used in stopper bearings, line rollers, etc.
Large reel for salt waterThe large spinning reel, which requires higher waterproof performance,
adopts a contact type waterproof structure. By physically cutting off the entry path of seawater with a low-sliding type sealing member, high waterproof performance has been achieved while suppressing rotational resistance. It is used in the stopper bearing part and the line roller part, and the stopper bearing part in particular achieves the waterproof standard IPX8 equivalent.

G Freebody

A sliding function component for moving the spool back and forth is placed on the upper part of the reel body, and the center of gravity of the entire reel is successfully brought closer to the hand. This improves the sense of unity with the rod, reduces casting fatigue, and improves rod operability.

AR-C Spool

Spools with a special spool ring shape. This creates a line rectification effect, suppressing line troubles and achieving both long-throw performance.

Long stroke spool

By increasing the width of the spool
spool yarn winding part with a long stroke design, the amount of line reduction in the latter half of the cast can be suppressed, contributing to improved cast feeling and flight distance.

CI4+

A new carbon material that is an evolution of the lightweight carbon material CI4. Rigidity and durability have been greatly improved while maintaining lightness, making it possible to reduce the size and weight of the reel.

S A-RB

By applying a special anti-rust treatment to the bearing itself, the durability against rust has been greatly improved. The S A-RB is also sealed with rust-proof material on the sides, which greatly reduces salt gami due to salt recrystallization inside the bearing.

One Piece Bail

Succeeded in producing a completely seamless one-piece molded bale. It is beautiful to look at and trouble-free.
